Here's what an IT Support Specialist II does:
• Manages Users, Groups, Group Policies and Computer Objects and Organizational Units in AD and Azure AD
• Connects and verifies functionality of network infrastructure devices (e.g., Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points)
• Uses and confirms functionality of management interfaces (IPMI, iLO, iDRAC)
• Performs basic rack-mounting device and cabling maintenance (pre-defined configuration)
• Makes use of common Ports and Protocols (e.g., DHCP, DNS, FTP, SMTP, HTTP(S))
• Performs basic DNS troubleshooting
• Creates and troubleshoots Groups, Teams, Sites, and Distribution Lists in MS 365
• Creates and troubleshoots shared, resource, and delegate mailboxes
• Creates and troubleshoots mail filtering policies
• Troubleshoots, manages, and configures File Sharing, NTFS Permissions, and Printer Sharing
To be considered for the role of IT Support Specialist II, a Bachelor or Associates degree in Business, Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is desired.
• 3-5yrs of experience in Customer Services, Technical Support, Sales Engineering or similar preferred
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Entry level CompTIA Certifications preferred
